I’d like to share this letter that was sent to me by a reader:
I am extremely grateful for yoga, as I’ve found that practicing more frequently has been a tremendous help in teaching me patience, along with accepting, adjusting and acknowledging the recent changes in my life.
Every inhale and exhale I take is truly in celebration of my existence without regrets. I’m finally learning to let go of my suffering mind, years of neglect, abuse and confusion.
I am currently in transition, healing mentally from a life-threatening surgery, and building back my physical strength. I feel as if I have been frozen in time, I have no idea where I am going or what to do next.
I recently turned 40, and have an 18-year-old daughter who is away at college. Although I have no job, scarce income and no husband, I don’t worry about tomorrow as much as I used to. I go with the flow, with gratitude and with good intentions in mind, trusting that the Universe will take care of the rest.
I never imagined that yoga would be so awesome. I am thankful, and I appreciate the opportunity I have at finding balance with yoga.Thank you.”
I get letters like this all the time, and I am so grateful for them and for the beautiful students who write ‘em. They’re a call to bring more yogis to their mats, so they can remember who they are and know that the Universe has their back. Rock on!
The more people who make it to their mats today, the better this day will turn out, for all. Because everything is always for the highest good of all when you’re following your heart and the higher flow. As this student clearly is.
“It’s all working out as it should.”
Have the best day ever!
