I am super Vata (a dosha, or mind-body type, in the 5,000 year-old Ayurvedic healing system), so this Super-mom loves sweets. Not necessarily “heavy” sweets, such as pastries or what have you—but the sweet flavor in general.
Since I have a propensity toward light-but-sweet-tasting foods, Just Like Sugar was such a find for me. I love putting it in my tea and raw hot chocolate and using it in some of the baking I do with my five kiddos.
The thing I love about it is that it tastes really good, not like some of the other sugar alternatives out there. It’s all-natural, made from chicory root, not chemicals. I don’t use fake sweeteners because they’re not good for you, and I learned this first-hand in my early twenties when I cut them out of my diet and the headaches I was having stopped immediately.
Just Like Sugar ain’t some fake sweetener. It’s chicory root. And it gives you fiber, calcium and vitamin C—all while being gluten-free, dairy-free and free of preservatives.
For me it’s the perfect thing to replace sugar in most things. You can get it in pouches so it’s just like table sugar and can be spooned into drinks, or scooped up with a measuring cup for baking. Or, you can get it in little packets to take with you.
But you’ve gotta try Just Like Sugar! You’re gonna love it. And you can use as much as you want, even if you have sugar issues, because it ain’t sugar!
