    1. Margaret says:

Not only is coconut oil good drizzled ON your popcorn, I make my popcorn IN coconut oil and also cook with it because it tastes so good and is soooooo good for you. I originally started buying coconut oil because I had a sick dog and a holistic vet recommended feeding it to my dog. When she passed away (after eating 6 months of all organic foods and loving every bit of it) I decided to start taking better care of myself, so coconut oil is only ONE of the healthy products I’ve added to my life.

  5. georgie sikora says:

  7. Joy E. McManus says:

Coconut oil has made a huge difference in my life over the past year. I started using it after being diagnosed with a duodenal ulcer coupled with low stomach acid. I eat a teaspoon several times a day right out of the jar to help facilitate digestion or add it to a green shake with cabbage juice to take away the discomfort of the ulcer. It’s a delicious way to improve health and the bottom line is, coupled with other raw foods for juicing, it worked for me as a way of holistically eradicating my ulcer!

Organic cocunut oil is a super-nutrient for sure. Yes, you can cook with it at high temperatures and it tastes great. However, the real nutrition comes from it raw. When raw, the nutritional benefits are all fully intact. I discovered if you put a full teaspoon into a smoothie, you have now created a power meal that includes a healthy fat. Most of all, when eaten raw its the fat that doesn’t make you fat. You may even add to your good cholesterol and why not. Enjoy my friends!

My first time in Jamaica my cab driver drove I from Montego Bay to Kingston far up into the hills. The road was small, tight, and scary. While he was driving he asked if I was hungry and I said sure. He pulled off the side of the road where the Famous Blue Mountain Coffee is made, and ran into the bush and came back with 2 Coconuts, one was young to drink and the other was to eat. ¼ cup butter-melted
    2 tablespoons Virgin Coconut Oil-melted
    ½ cup shredded coconut
    1 tablespoon water
    1 egg white-beaten
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl with a wooden spoon, mix together the eggs, coconut flour, shredded coconut, honey and salt. Once well blended, add the butter, coconut oil, and water. Mix dough together with your hands until everything has blended together. Pat dough into a round pie pan. Press the dough firmly into the pan. When you are done forming the crust, take the egg white and beat it with a fork until frothy. With a pastry brush, brush the crust with the egg white and bake at 350 for 14 minutes. Cool completely on wire rack.

    ½ cup whole sugar
    ¼ cup corn starch
    1 tablespoon vanilla extract
    1 cup shredded coconut
    1 tablespoon butter
    2½ cups heavy cream
    3 tablespoons Coconut Cream Concentrate
Combine sugar, cornstarch, and shredded coconut together in a pot and slowly pour the heavy cream into the pot over medium heat. Add vanilla, butter and coconut cream concentrate while stirring with a wire whisk constantly. Bring mixture to a simmer and then reduce heat to medium low. Continue stirring until mixture becomes very thick and then turn the heat down to low. Cool the mixture in the pot with a cover for about 5 minutes. Pour mixture into cooled pie crust and place wax paper on the top of the pie to prevent skin formation on the filling. Place pie in a pan of cool water until the filling is completely cool. Top pie with whipped cream and garnish with toasted coconut flakes (optional.) Refrigerate until ready to serve and enjoy!! We use Coconut oil to fry bake and skin cream! I post this as a public service to anyone challenged with alzheimers disease or other brain disfunction. I saw a report on CBNs 700 club. Of a man pretty well progressed into this condition whose wife, being a doctor, set out to do some research on the disease. She discovered that an alzheimers victims brain doesn’t process sugar properly but does process keytone for the same purpose. Further discovering that coconut oil is a rich source of keytone she began spooning it into her husbands’ cereal, etc. with astonishing results. He quickly improved his ability to do the “clock test” and became communicative again. Access the report via CBN.com or google the 700 club. It’s called a ketogenic diet with other benefits as well. Bon apetite! I make my whole wheat, coconut ( fresh grated) pancakes in the oil. Good groceries…….Don
