L-Carnitine for Weight Management

A form of carnitine, L-carnitine is an amino-acid-like substance found in the brain, neural tissue, muscle and heart. This naturally-occurring nutrient has been the center of much attention lately for its potential in supporting healthy weight management and muscle.

Increasing carnitine levels in the body with L-carnitine supplements may support healthy metabolism, energy levels and cholesterol and blood sugar levels already within normal range - all things that may support healthy weight management.

Bodybuilders and athletes primarily use L-carnitine to support normal endurance.  However, nutritionists believe that an L-carnitine supplement taken daily may be beneficial for both active and inactive lifestyles.

    Great article about L-carnitine, I have found that while L-Carantine is very beneficial in a number of health regiments. However I would als o highly recomended taking advantage of natural polyphenols found in green teas, oolong teas, and wu-yi teas. This property will help to emulsify triglycerides(fat). I found that used in combination with products that provide L-Carantine that I have a much more efficient fat burning and workout process. I wrote a follow up blog to this for those who want more information on polyphenols in natural Wu-yi tea. Hope this helps
