Choose the Best “Whey”

You probably know that whey protein isolate is more pure and potent than whey concentrate. But there’s more than one “whey” to look at your protein powder. Fitness expert Nicole Wilkins shares her favorite whey protein powder and why it’s a better formula than the one you’re using now.

There are some things you want in a protein powder and some things you don’t. You can guess which side lactose and fat fall under. That’s why Met-Rx developed their Ultramyosyn Whey Isolate, which lets you enjoy a delicious, creamy vanilla flavor with 98% no lactose and 100% no fat. If you’re not a “vanilla” person, choose another “whey”: cookies ‘n cream, peanut butter, strawberry, berry punch or (of course) chocolate.

Whey is dairy protein. Dairy protein, casein, promotes cancer cell growth (http://www.tcolincampbell.org/courses-resources/article/dairy-consumption-and-weight-loss-claims/?tx_ttnewsswords=casein&tx_ttnewsbackPid=76&cHash=6cd74b3e2acb5da1731a03c1ad9e790d) along with a host of other health challenges such as allergies, ear and sinus infections, arthritis, and respiratory disease to name a few.

The healthiest dietary shift one can make is to remove all dairy from your diet. It’s worth knowing If someone is being compensated for promoting a product and then decide whether or not you’ll make health choices that representative is touting. VitaCost carries a host of healthy products that provide far more to promote a healthy, lean body. Best to add whole foods to your diet that provide the essentials instead of using a mass-produced product that contains: artificial flavors, sucralose, cellulose gum, citric acid, xanthan gum, carrageenan.
