Q: What is the proper wound care for road rash?

A: Sooner or later, all cyclists take a tumble. (Sorry, but it’s true.) You’ll most likely walk away with some road rash, which is bike geek for redness, small scrapes and possibly a little bruising. Though it may seem like a minor wound, letting your road rash go uncleaned can lead to problems you don’t ever want to experience.
It happens to most people, typically around their mid-thirties. You find your fitness groove and stick with it for a while — maybe for several years — until one day you hit a wall. (One more spin class and the wheels are going to fall off!) Sound familiar?

You’re an athlete. You train hard and train often. Some days, you even work out twice. How could you possibly be gaining weight — and not the kind you want? When you’re not gaining muscle mass, something has to give…and that’s you. You have to give yourself the tools, the time and, yes, even a few treats to stay focused and on track.
