Greetings from Mrs. Crankypants

You know who’s got a case of the Mondays? Me, 7 days a week. I love my job, but being at my desk at the crack of dawn is beginning to wear me down and make me irritable. So are my neighbors, who insist on blasting mosh pit tunes from dusk till done. I’m even irked by the ducks that use my driveway as their personal litter box. I’m usually pretty even-keeled, so this mood shift is new. My boyfriend’s adorable new nickname for me is “Crankypants.” I’ve been trying to meditate my way through my testiness, and it hasn’t really been working. I just caught an episode of my favorite TV health show, though, and am wondering if rhodiola might help me lighten up, a bit.

Rhodiola Support

Rhodiola, also known as golden root, is supposed to increase those feel-good vibes I used to enjoy all the time (alas, such a distant memory!) and also support higher energy levels.* The TV doc recommends taking 150 mg with breakfast. That sounds good to me, as long as my breakfast also includes some strong coffee. I’ll let you know how the rhodiola goes…I am hoping this golden root returns my sunny disposition!
