What does it mean to clean happy? Some people think keeping a home shiny and fresh without cluttering the air with chemicals is enough (thanks, Method!). But why not whistle while you work? Doing away with dirt doesn’t have to be an act of drudgery. All it takes is a little creativity to turn sweeping and scouring into something cheery.
When we think of organic products, we tend focus on food. But there is as much to be considered when it comes to what we put ON our bodies as what we put IN them. Making the switch to organic cotton products is another way you can eliminate harmful chemicals from your home and health.
Happy Earth Day! Today is a day to celebrate and promote the preservation of our precious planet.
Wondering how you can help? Here are a few eco-friendly activities you can do year-round – because we believe that every day should be Earth Day!
My oldest son’s birthday is on Earth Day. I can’t say for sure, but I suspect becoming a mom on April 22, 2003, may have made me more respectful of Mother Earth than I might have been otherwise, and I do find myself gravitating towards eco-friendly products when I have the choice, from our energy-efficient washing machine to my toddler’s BPA-free cereal bowl. It’s not always easy being green—but fortunately, since I became a mother 10 years ago today, we’ve come a long way, baby, when it’s come to finding eco-friendly baby care products.
Q: Using eco-friendly products is important to me. I know MyChelle natural skincare products are good for my body—but are they also OK for the environment?
MyChelle Dermaceuticals licensed esthetitican Catie Wiggy responds:
MyChelle began with a passion as pure and natural as the Rocky Mountains. Founded in Colorado over 12 years ago, MyChelle Dermaceuticals’ singular obsession has been to create the most effective, nontoxic skin care products in the country. Today, our products deliver powerful, quick and visible results without using nasty ingredients or toxic chemicals.
With Earth Day just a week away, now is a great time to think about changes you can make to help the environment. Seemingly little steps, like bringing reusable bags to the supermarket or turning off lights when you leave a room, can have a big impact when many people take them together! If exercise is a part of your everyday life, here are some things you might do differently to conserve resources and help protect the planet.
We’re all eco-conscious. We’ve come of age in an era in which we learned about turning off the water when we brushed our teeth and recycling our paper and plastic. Yet, what we’ve come to realize is it takes more than conserving water and cashing in our cans.
