Fitness setbacks can happen at any time: kids (or you!) get sick, an injury occurs, late nights at the office keep you from making it to the gym or maybe you’ve just gotten bored with your exercise routine. No matter what’s standing in your way, it’s important not to beat yourself up over it. You can get back on track—sometimes it just takes a little extra motivation.
I’d like to share this letter that was sent to me by a reader:
I am extremely grateful for yoga, as I’ve found that practicing more frequently has been a tremendous help in teaching me patience, along with accepting, adjusting and acknowledging the recent changes in my life.
Every inhale and exhale I take is truly in celebration of my existence without regrets. I’m finally learning to let go of my suffering mind, years of neglect, abuse and confusion.

While our family was in France this summer, we had planned to go to the Jardin d’Acclimation, our fave park in Paris, one afternoon.
But something didn’t feel right. I couldn’t put my finger on it, but I knew we shouldn’t go.
Instead, it felt right to stay in our “hood” and walk the streets near Notre Dame. Hang out in those little parks and get gelato, then go to the Latin Quarter and check out La Plage, a “beach” in the city along the Seine created by the mayor.
