Ever told your kids to “do as you say, not as you do”? You were probably joking at the time, because we all know how well kids listen to their parents…not! The next time you’re desperately pleading to get your kids to change their behavior, act like an animal. Seriously. Monkey see, monkey do.

Motherhood is a sport that requires energy, mental toughness, patience and a laundry list of other traits. Before you fall apart thinking that you could never possibly be this idealistic super mom, I’m here to tell you that you can achieve the physical and emotional fitness every mom needs. All you have to do is exercise!
About 70 percent of the Earth’s surface is covered in it and about 80 percent of our bodies are made of it. Water is at the root of life, which would explain why you should be consuming a sufficient amount. Not only does proper hydration account for a well-functioning body, but it can also make your skin appear soft and supple, your lips smooth and kissable and your muscles hard and defined. But buyer beware: when it comes to hydrating a fit body (like yours), you should be mindful of more than just how much water you’re drinking.
Fad diets don’t work. And it’s not because you’re doing something wrong. Popular, calorie-restricting plans are simply not sustainable. So, what will last?
Media’s portrayal of the ideal woman has changed from the once-popular skeletal frames. In today’s world, more fashion models and celebrities are realizing that a fit body sells. And, quite frankly, it’s a healthier way of life. That’s why they’re turning to fun and functional group fitness options (think Tabata training and crossfit) and top-level personal trainers to transform their bodies into lean, mean machines. Finally, the sexiness of a well-toned body is catching on — and this is a trend you won’t want to miss!
Let’s face it. When you don’t enjoy an activity, you take every other path — even if it’s inconvenient and out of the way — to avoid doing it. (It’s human nature, so don’t feel too bad.) But when it comes to working out and eating healthy, there are no excuses. If exercising isn’t fun for you…make it fun!
You’re a super woman with a super-full schedule that includes work, parent-teacher meetings, dance recitals, cooking dinner, vacuuming up dog hair, piles of laundry and maybe some cuddle time with your better half or that book you’ve been meaning to read (if you’re lucky). It’s normal to miss a workout with that kind of life, isn’t it?
