Q. You can’t really lift “saggy” skin with a topical cream, can you?

It’s a question I’ve heard all my professional life: “How can I firm and tighten my loose, sagging skin?” While plastic surgery might be the first thing that comes to mind, the amount of money you’d spend, the long recovery time and the unnatural-looking results may seem rather unappealing. But the good news is: yes, you really can help visibly firm and tone sagging skin with a topical crÃ¨me.
The key is to look for skincare products that contain scientifically proven, effective ingredients that have been shown to have a positive effect on sagging skin. One exciting ingredient that has received a lot of attention for doing just that, and one you should look for when searching for skin-firming products, is DMAE. DMAE is naturally found in fish, such as salmon, and it may also exist in the human brain in very small amounts. It’s a precursor to the neurotransmitter acetylcholine.
