Glucosamine Chondroitin—Your Joint Support System
Your body contains 206 bones, all of which are connected to one another by joints. Joints are cushioned by a tough, rubbery material known as cartilage. Over time, joints and cartilage can deteriorate, causing aggravating pain and swelling as a result of bones rubbing together.
Glucosamine, a natural sugar produced by the body, plays an important part in the construction of cartilage. Insufficient levels may be associated with delay in the repair of damaged cartilage, or worse, the potential development of osteoarthritis. Studies show that supplementing with glucosamine can have beneficial effects on those suffering from joint deterioration, from pain relief to better mobility and function.
Chondroitin is also a naturally-occurring substance that contributes to joint health. It’s believed to promote water retention and elasticity in joints, and may help block enzymes that destroy cartilage tissue. Chondroitin also appears to help rebuild damaged cartilage, though more studies are needed to confirm this effect.
Take together, glucosamine and chondroitin offer a powerful support system for joints. Because of the complicated processes involved in “rebuilding”, the combination may need to be taken for several months before results are seen.

I have taken gluchosomine/condroitin for several years now. A couple years ago I had severe pain in my knees. We went to an auto show. I did not enjoy the show because I was in so much pain from walking; needless to say I cried the entire time. When we got home I was told to get some gluchosomine/condroitin for the knee pain; I’ve been taking it ever since. A couple times I tried to ween myself from the pain supplement, only to have the pain return in a couple weeks. This OTC supplement is a Godsend. Thanks
Glucosamine Chondroitin Double Strength in the 180-capsule container says that the daily serving is 3 capsules; but the same capsules in a 240-capsule container says that the daily serving is 2 capsules. Why this discrepancy? What, truly, is the correct daily dose?
Hi Thue,
We don’t produce a 240 count glucosamine chondroitin capsule. The 240 count tablet is a 2 tablet serving versus the 3 capsule serving in the 180 count product. The daily dosage is the same for each product.
Thanks!

I’ve been in touch with the medical field for a while now and I’ve no doubts recommending this remedy – Glucosamine.
I have been using the Dr. Max Powers “Joint Support + Vitamin B12″ Glucasamine supplements for about 4 years now.
I think it helps me a lot with my joints. I had an injury a number of years ago with my shoulder that prompted me to take it. but now I see an overall effect everywhere, specifically in the knees. I noticed it the most when I stopped taking it for about a month, and noticed stiffness.
I believe this product helps me, maybe it can you too, if you do try it, make sure you give it 60-90 days to get into your system before you judge. I bought online at http://www.drmaxpowers.com
