Consuming adequate amounts of nutrition-rich foods seems to be a problem these days. Parents send their kids off to school with lunchables and the advertising world has convinced us that fruit rollups are as good as the real thing. Enter DIM, or Diindolylmethane, a phytonutrient found in cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage and kale.
DIM may be a godsend. Particularly for women who nurture bad diets. Inconclusive studies show that DIM may increase levels of good estrogen, while at the same time decreasing levels of bad estrogen. This may result in easier periods, less moodiness and healthy ovulation for some. Although DIM research is aggressive, there's currently no evidence to support the absolute effectiveness of DIM benefits.
Which DIM product should I try? This depends on your research. Personally, I would suggest reliable brands such as NSI, Nature's Way or Source Naturals.
